omNomNom is a fun and colorful recipe application, where users can look for all types of recipes based on what is left in their fridge, favorite cuisine, or preferred diet! The goal of the project was to create a single-page application using React and build a platform where users could create accounts and save their favorite recipes, with Firebase Authentication and Firestore database.
With omNomNom, users can look through a wide selection of recipes, powered by the Spoonastic API and view more details about each recipe. Users can create an account, search and filter through recipes by cuisine, diet, or ingredients, using different endpoints and parameters of the API used. Once they’ve created their account, they can access their profile, and bookmark recipes, which then get saved in the user dashboard. They can post and delete comments on recipes. They can also log out, and delete their accounts.
