On Design Estimates

"Landing Page" Design

The design of one landing page (home page) normally takes our designers from few hours to few days, depending on complicity, should they do UX research or only UI design, etc.

Of course, after the Home Page is done, other pages (e.g. Contact Us or About Us) are usually much faster, more like hour-few max because lots of things will be reused (e.g. header, logo, footer, styles, etc).

Pricing page design depends again on how complex is your pricing strategy. If it's just 3-4-5 variants with year/month subscription it's usually just a few hours, but if it's lots of options and very complex offerings, such page can take easily more than a day of work, so again it all depends.

So that is why our designers are working only on a per hour bases. Our customers will pay exactly for how long it takes to implement what is needed, not less, and not more.

Upwork / HubStaff (or our own Gauzy Platform) provides very good time reporting and monitoring (e.g. screenshots/keystrokes/mouse movements) and report time with 10 min interval precision. So it will be absolutely clear how much time was spend by our designer on customer tasks and the amount paid will be equal to the exact amount of working hours.

In summary: in most cases, the design of a basic landing page takes up to a few days of work for our designers. But our clients will pay for the exact amount of hours it takes to build it.

To start the process, the client needs to hire our designer, and the designer will start working in direct communication with the customer in order to gather all requirements, show client UX prototype/sketches when they are ready and next will work on UI design. It will be an even faster process if the client suggests looking up the structure from some other existed site as a sample of what needs to be done.
