Example

Here’s a simple example of a VBA macro for Excel that formats a selected range of cells:

Sub FormatRange()
    Dim rng As Range
    Set rng = Selection

    With rng
        .Font.Bold = True
        .Interior.Color = RGB(255, 255, 0) ' Yellow background
        .Borders(xlEdgeBottom).LineStyle = xlContinuous
    End With
End Sub

To use this macro, select a range of cells in Excel and run the FormatRange macro.
