# Web Reading Enhancer & Task Manager

## Overview

The Web Reading Enhancer & Task Manager is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your web browsing experience by integrating task management and text highlighting features directly into your browser.

## Features

- **Task Management:** Add or remove tasks easily like a to-do list.
- **Text Highlighting:** Automatically highlight selected text in green for easy reference.
- **Note Taking:** Add notes to highlighted text for reminders or annotations.
- ** Text to speech conversion:**   Select the text, right-click on it, and then choose "Read Aloud" from the context menu..


## Installation

To install the extension from source, follow these steps:

1. **Clone the repository:**

   ```bash
   git clone  https://github.com/Anjalisharma3463/Web-Reading-Enhancer-Task-Manager-Extension.git
 

2. Enable Developer Mode in Chrome:

3. Open Chrome and navigate to the Extensions settings page: chrome://extensions/.
   Toggle the Developer mode switch in the top right corner to enable it. 

4.  Load the extension:
    Click on "Load unpacked" and navigate to the directory where you cloned the repository.

**Getting Started**
Once installed, the extension will appear in your list of Chrome extensions. Use it to manage tasks and highlight text while browsing the web.
