Does the app do anything in the background? We recently found out that this would be difficult because of battery optimisation restrictions. I think we should consider keeping all background stuff in the native service, and start that upon restarting the device. Possibly with a toggle setting inside the app, because people may not want Bluetooth tracking being enabled automatically.
Could we create just a notification without running the app actually? I would totally forget to start the app again after a reboot of the device. A notification banner saying "You restarted the device and BT tracking is not enabled again. Click this banner to restart the service." would be good.
