Glad to see this project is maintained again.

What are your thoughts about adding an extra parameter named OIDC_EXTRA_REQUEST_AUTH_PARAMS and OIDC_EXTRA_REQUEST_HEADERS as we have in this fork? I can make a PR.

There are also some interesting cache ideas over there (see here and here) that you might want to consider.
