How to install the ckanext-spatial extension on CKAN 2.10 that uses Python 3.8 ?

I do not know how (if possible) to upgrade the Python on my system to 3.9 without things breaking. We need the spatial extension.

Is the only way to reinstall everything using newer Python? That seems too complicated...
