Usage

Automatically downloads the onnx and prototxt files on the first run. It is necessary to be connected to the Internet while downloading.

For the sample image,

$ python3 easyocr.py

If you want to specify the input image, put the image path after the --input option.
You can use --savepath option to change the name of the output file to save.

$ python3 easyocr.py --input IMAGE_PATH
$ python3 easyocr.py -i IMAGE_PATH -s SAVE_IMAGE_PATH

By adding the --video option, you can input the video.
If you pass 0 as an argument to VIDEO_PATH, you can use the webcam input instead of the video file.

$ python3 easyocr.py --video VIDEO_PATH

By adding the --language option, you can choose the language.

$ python3 easyocr.py --language LANGUAGE
$ python3 easyocr.py -l LANGUAGE
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language chinese
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py -l chinese

The prepared language are as follows.

  • chinese (default)
  • japanese
  • english
  • french
  • korean
  • thai
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language chinese --input example/chinese.jpg
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language japanese --input example/japanese.jpg
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language english --input example/english.png
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language french --input example/french.jpg
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language korean --input example/korean.png
(ex) $ python3 easyocr.py --language thai --input example/thai.jpg
