Versions: 6.4.0-dev (2024-02-09), 6.3.1, older releases
OS: macOS Sonoma 14.3.1

Steps:

  1. Open Yubico Authenticator
  2. Insert YubiKey
  3. Select TOTP code with touch requirement
  4. Click Generate
  5. An overlay blurring the whole Yubico Authenticator interface appears when generating a TOTP code requiring touch.
  6. YubiKey blinks
  7. Touch YubiKey
  8. YubiKey stops blinking and TOTP code seems to appear under the blurry overlay, but remains unreadable and the UI is completely frozen.
  9. Quit application and start over, code will display properly this time.

Notes:

  • I've been having this issue for months on macOS.
  • The problem appears systematically if the key is inserted after the app is started.
  • The overlay has no cancel button and isn't removed when the yubikey is disconnected either, meaning the interface can easily get into a dead-end.
