Across the industry, there's been a drive to use more inclusive computer terminology.

Background: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-knodel-terminology-02

This is a catch-all issue (and perhaps a longer-living task), to:

  • search and replace terms like master/slave, or blacklist/whitelist in both source and documentation
  • use neutral pronouns (or passive voice)
  • rename the main development branch from 'master' to 'main'
