I think it would be amazing to display X and Y positions when creating a custom area/region picture. If there could be an option for this that would be amazing.

at the moment sharenix relies on external tools (scrot, gnome-screenshot, xfce screenshooter) to select screen regions, you could maybe find one that shows the info you need at least until i implement my own
So as an update to this, XUbuntu 18.04 comes with xfce4-screenshooter 1.8.2. However, I can install xfce4-screenshooter 1.9.5 from XUbuntu 19.04 on XUbuntu 18.04 and it now does have a display for x/y of a custom area/region. I found this pretty interesting and quite good news.
